First occupied in 1938, Uptown Square (formerly Lauderdale Courts) began as a WPA Public Housing Project. Uptown Square includes 60 newly renovated buildings that both preserve its historic character, and create a mixed-income rental community that integrates seamlessly into the overall neighborhood context.
