Dedicated to Memphis’ first black millionaire, the park hosts festivals, concerts, and civic gatherings. With new paving, fabric shade structures, permanent stage, artwork, plantings, and lighting, the renewed park better accommodates large crowds, and serves as a living educational experience and a more fitting tribute.
