STA was challenged to design a prototype affordable four-flat apartment building as part of the redevelopment of the former site of MHA’s Fowler Homes project. The development consisted of four of the prototypes for a total of 16 units. Architecturally, the buildings resemble the adjacent single-family homes in scale, materials and proportions and have secure, gated entrances to central breezeways serving each of the four two-bedroom flats.
